Hey, friends, and welcome to Lucy’s Closet! My name is Kristin and I’m so happy you stopped by! Why “Lucy’s Closet” when your name is Kristin, you might ask! Good question! So … when I was a little girl, I was in love with all things Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang. My parents claim that I was also in love with being outspoken and strong willed, kind of like Lucy from the Peanuts. So … I was bestowed the nickname and it stuck throughout my childhood when I was acting “spicy”. I’d like to think that’s a great way to describe my shop … spicy! What you will find here is a unique mix of modern vintage and quality thrifted clothing … to help express the inner Lucy in you!

A little bit about me. I live in Pennsylvania and am a proud graduate of Penn State University. It’s where I met my husband, who has given me the greatest gifts of my life … my son and daughter. Upon graduating from college, I was a first grade teacher for 7 years. I absolutely adored working with little people every day! But, when I gave birth to my son, being a momma became my new priority. I’ve been blessed to have the opportunity to be at home with both of my children ever since. Time has flown and they are both now teenagers. For the past few years, I’ve been feeling like I need more. Being a mom is incredible, but I needed more. I missed feeling like I was making a contribution and I needed an outlet for my creativity.

I have always loved to shop. Even more than that, I love to thrift! There are so many treasures waiting to be found in thrift stores! I can not wait until Halloween rolls around each year because that means it’s time to put costumes together. Not from the rack, but from inside the walls of the thrift stores!! Not to mention the idea of giving back to our community while reducing our impact on the Earth is so valuable. The day I imagined creating an online vintage & thrifted clothing shop was such a no-brainer. It’s just so many things that I love all rolled into one! It was the perfect fit for me! That was in September 2019, and I haven’t looked back since!
